Billy & Gemma make me smile just even thinking about them. These two are a just beautiful together and…well…they’re dog lovers. Which means you can’t get much higher on my totem pole, that’s pretty much the top. It’s always fun to see how people find you, and Gemma did through my husband. They are both structural engineers, and when Billy & Gemma got engaged the work conversation naturally turned towards weddings. (Yes, men will talk weddings just as hard as woman-I’ve seen it!) Steven passed on some of the things they were working to find answers on and I got all excited. I photograph weddings because I absolutely love the whole process-even the stuff that isn’t my realm-like flowers, venues, etc… Gemma and I exchanged some email, and she reached out about photography. We sat down one CRAZY rainy night in August, and the rest is history.
These two are getting married at Wedgwood at Boulder Creek next year, and the vision of a romantic summer night with a small event of their closest family and friends will be a perfect fit. A large portion of guests are traveling to be a part of their day, and when people are willing to make the effort to travel like that…there’s always a special extra umph of joy & celebration.
We planned their engagement session at just the perfect time to hit the Rocky Mountain National Park color change…and boy, was it an awesome day. Being a colorado wedding photographer CERTAINLY has it’s perks, like when you have an awesome couple like these two in the leaves smack dab in the middle of epic views. The people make it, though, and these two made our session an absolute blast. Gemma & Billy, I am THRILLED to be a part of your wedding and this special season…Congrats!!
