A Little About Billy & Gemma
Billy & Gemma are a couple that I feel like I can already peer into their future. I can see them when they’re old and gray, still walking together. Billy cracking a joke that makes Gemma laugh, and she making sure that his collar is straight. These two met while in college through their mutual friend, Katie. Katie was a bridesmaid at their wedding, which is also such a sweet representation of the friendship that brought them together. They’ve been planning their wedding since last summer, and I’ve loved every minute of getting to work with these two! A Little About Their Day
I remember when I initially sat down with these two, Gemma said she wanted their day to be a romantic night down by the creek with fairy lights and open air. That is just what the night was, and the whole day leading up to it was full of wonderful celebration. They had a “destination” wedding her in Colorado, in a way, because so many of their guests and bridal party came in from other parts of the country and world. Billy is from Hawaii originally, Gemma from the UK/texas, and after college people often end up all over the map. Billy & Gemma are making their home here in Colorado, and so made it an opportunity for everyone to gather. The group that was present with them on their day were people that are committed friendships and relationships, and that lends so much joy to a wedding day.
My personal favorite part of the day was they first looks that Gemma did with her Dad and Billy. They both lost it when they saw her, and I loved the expression of the love between them in that way. There was a DANCE PARTY to sweep the night away, and let me tell you, it was a blast!!
Billy & Gemma, it was such an honor to be a part of this special event in your lives. Thank you for having me, and CONGRATS!!!!!
