A Snowy Rocky Mountain National Park Engagement: Tim & Kara

A Little Bit About Tim & Kara

You’re about to see two people that will keep you laughing and make you feel valued when you meet them. Tim and Kara’s wedding day is something I’m looking forward to in multiple ways. This is the 4th wedding I’ve had the privilege to photograph in Kara’s amazing family, and I’m so honored that she contacted me over the fall about her wedding! Tim and Kara met online and went deep right away. One of the things that I love about Kara is she doesn’t waste time on things that don’t matter. She asked Tim some pretty straightforward and IMPORTANT questions in their beginning dates. This allowed them to learn a lot about each other and their foundations, and got Tim to thinking…about engagement sooner vs later.

A Little About Their Engagement

Kara had told Tim that she didn’t want him to propose until he had met her family. While some of her family is here in Colorado, a large portion of it is now out in the midwest. They planned a trip out there for Tim to meet them…and Tim was already thinking ahead and brought the ring with him. They had an awesome time with family, and Tim got some time with Kara’s dad on one of the mornings to talk about getting married. Kara’s dad gave him to A-Okay, and that evening Tim took Kara out for a walk into the sunset on her brother’s property where he asked the important question. She said yes. 😉

For their Colorado engagement session, these two wanted to showcase the Rocky Mountains. The are both from our awesome state, and were up for a drive so we hit the wonderfully and never disappointing location of Rocky Mountain National Park. While the clouds came in and hid one of our views, they rewarded us with a lovely soft snowfall that was just beautiful. You can’t plan snow fall, so it was a special treat. Tim & Kara, I am SO excited for March 5th…Let’s get you married!!!
