When a Day is Simply Perfect: Connor & Kaitlyn’s Brookside Gardens Colorado Wedding

The title of this blog post is honest. As I’ve been mulling over what to say about Connor & Kaitlyn’s day, and them, I found myself thinking, “pick every wonderful word you can think of…and apply it.” Joy. Romance. Beauty. Deep. Meaningful. Playful. God Centered. Authentic. Love. Family. Celebration. Awe. I could go on. But if you look at these words you’ll see that they don’t all belong in just one vein of our language, but many. Connor & Kaitlyn are multifaceted people, just like the beautiful diamond Kaitlyn wears. (Which is a family Heirloom, by the way. See? Another word. Generational!) I genuinely wish you could meet them just to be able to experience what a wonderful, wonderful couple they are.

A little of Connor & Kaitlyn’s story. These two have been together since high school. They’ve gone to high school dances together, kept the fire through being in different states for college, and weathered good and bad things that life throws at you. On a college break, Connor knew it was time to move them forward into marriage…and so he planned his proposal in their home state and with family involved. Perfect, and perfect for them.

Their colorado wedding was held at the lovely Brookside Gardens in Berthoud, CO. This venue never disappoints, and there was a bit of a “dream team” happening. The Coordinator, Linda O’Hare of Elegant Events by Linda, videographer Cam Youmans, and DJ Ian Steward are all vendors that I’ve worked with before and love. A huge thanks to my 2nd photographer of the day, Erin. A couple of her images are featured here. Synergy behind the scenes makes things all the better! The kindness of everyone at this wedding made it so sweet to be a part of. Most of all, God’s presence could be felt as Connor & Kaitlyn said their vows. My hope is that as you view their images and see their faces, you’ll sense all the wonderful words I listed and more. Connor & Kaitlyn, congrats…Colorado will miss you as you build your new life in Souix Falls!

I also have to tell you, Connor is a classy guy! These socks are the lucky socks that he wore while in the interview to his current job…purchased right before.;)

One of the thing that I admire about this couple is they don’t shy from the moment. Connor shed tears more than once without shame, and that says something about the person he is.

This wind in the veil was not staged, by the way!

Kaitlyn’s dad cut down trees from their property to supply centerpieces and these sweet signs scattered all over the venue with different notes. So much meaning!
