AAA: The Awesome Arnold & Adamson Family

Hello and Happy Friday! Almost 8 inches of snow when we woke up is making this day beautiful outside.  Tomorrow is going to be absolutely fantastic as I get to shoot a wedding in this winter wonderland with the incredibly talented Natalie Johnson of Tallie Johnson Photo. I’m so excited to get to work with and hang out with such a special lady in one of both our favorite environments! Check out her sight for a rockin’ visual experience.

The site and FB page opening is moving right along and today I have the Awesome Arnold/Adamson family photos up on the blog to commemorate it, AND the great memories of these people. Before we dig into photos, remember that by posting a comment on any of the blog posts through Monday, March 21st, will get you entered into a drawing for a full, FREE session with me, including all the goodies of edited photos & online gallery. And of course, like & share the Alysha Ann Photography CO FB page to be entered into drawings for 15.00 gift cards to either Starbucks or Chipotle!

On to these Beautiful People… Katie contacted me in February from a referral to see if we could fit in a session for her whole family before she, her husband, and their children headed back to Hong Kong, where they live and work. We got down to scheduling this shoot which would include their sweet 8 week old Julia Joy. We needed to work around a few different schedules, and with a departure deadline, found we’d only be able to make this happen if we were shooting in the late, late morning. For lighting reasons, this gets sketchy…but these guys were champs! Even with the lighting, we still were able to get some great shots. This family is so relational, connected, and easy going they made it a breeze to photograph them. And Darling kids. Did I say Darling kids?! Thanks guys, it was such a privilege to work with you!

We hit the playground after our shots, and I couldn’t resist this one. So much fun! Safe travels back to Hong Kong, you guys. Colorado will miss you!
And be you, together. Katie shared they’ve known each other since they were kids. Watching them and seeing them care for each other after so many years highlighted how deeply they love each other.
Always remember to play together, even after you’ve been married for awhile, had a couple kids, and fielded some life curveballs.
Having a few moments alone with your husband when you’ve had a baby 8 weeks ago is so…good. We snuck away for a couple moments, and bam, look at her!

Steven (my husband) saw this image and went, “Whoa, is that Photoshop?” Indignant, I let him know it is NOT. The reflection of the bright sun on the water beneath the bridge was so accurate it just looks like they are suspended in the sky.

Those cheeks…
